One of the hallmarks of personal mastery is the never-ending pursuit of new information, insight and ideas about your craft. Even ideas that may be contrary to the beliefs that you currently hold must be examined with an open and critical mind on how they can be incorporated into your work. While critical questioning is important it mustn't be to the exclusion of all ideas that run counter to your current beliefs and thinking. Do not hold so tightly onto your ideas that you miss opportunities to be even better. Remember that in all manner of subjects, thinking that is accepted today was once thought of ridiculous.
There Is One Thing Stronger Than All The Armies In The World, And That Is An Idea Whose Time Has Come. Victor Hugo
The difficulty lies not so much in developing new ideas as in escaping from old ones. John Maynard Keynes
Everything begins with an idea. Earl Nightengale
No idea is so outlandish that it should not be considered with a searching but at the same time a steady eye. Winston Churchill
