To make progress on your mot important goals requires you to focus on eliminating distractions. The more energy that you spend and success that you have on eliminating the distractions that dilute your focus from your most important goals or priorities increase the likelihood of your success. One problem with inability of people to maintain a focus on their New Year’s Resolution is that although they make great plans and document their goals well, they often do not do the work at removing the distractions from their environment that keep them from being successful. One of the tips that dietitians and trainers have for people that want to eat better and cleaner is to remove all the junk food from the house. By not having these distracting items in the pantry helps to keep from straying away from their plans of eating better. The same process works in all areas of our lives. By eliminating distractions we don’t have to rely on will power alone in our pursuit of the excellence we desire.
