Can you imagine for a moment how uninspiring our lives would be without the presence of the thing opposite of what we want?  It is the dichotomy of life and the polar opposites that give the things we most want their inherent value.  We appreciate things more simply because it is possible that they might not exist.  For example, there is no light without dark, no bravery without fear, no clarity without confusion, and no success without failure.  The simple act of failure and it's mere presence is what allows us to value success.  In fact, without failure success would not, could not occur.  We succeed because of our failures, and in spite of them.  So do not wish to not fail, instead wish for greater commitment or more dedication or more resilience to endure the failure when it does occur.  For it is our perseverance to continue when faced with adversity and failure that assures our success.
