Arrogance is that special and unique quality that erodes our ability to learn.  It is a ego-centric quality that although may inspire the confidence needed to reach for our greatest goals, actually stands in our way of accomplishing them.  Arrogance impedes our ability to learn from our mistakes, the mistakes of others and prevents us from taking the time to truly learn.  And without learning, we are doomed to repeat the mistakes and errors of the past and to fail yet again.  Humility, however, is like an empty cup ready to be filled with the wisdom and learning of others.  And with a constant focus on a willingness to learn, the ability to succeed is amplified and nearly assured.
