The celebration of others' accomplishments and the support of others' achievement does not diminish you or the pursuit of your goals. Success and accomplishment is not a zero-sum game; that is for when someone else succeeds you cannot. However, far too many people act this way and behave like it is. Jealousy extends to us all, but once we recognize it and name it, we can action a plan to mitigate it and eliminate it. We mustn't withhold our praise, be acerbic in our responses nor gossip behind the backs of those who do accomplish. We mustn't be like the group pulling others back who are striving to improve and are standing apart from the group. Instead we should support those who strive, to attempt to get better and who work hard to change their destiny. For when we do their success becomes ours as well. And our goals become a little bit closer to being accomplished.
Comparison is the thief of joy. Theodore Roosevelt
A wise man is content with his lot, whatever it may be, without wishing for what he has not. Seneca
Abundance is not something we acquire. It is something we tune into. Wayne Dyer
