It is in our leadership of others that we become the student of our own leadership.  Our beliefs, opinions, and perspectives about leadership and about the motivations of others is demonstrated in its fullness when we begin to lead others.  If we do not consciously and objectively observe our own behaviours, we will not fully understand our leadership of others and will be destined to instead follow the leadership of those before us and repeat the patterns of their behaviours; good and bad.  Rather, become a student of your own leadership for it is a reflection of who you are, but not necessarily of who who you will become.
