Courage is simply having the strength to continue on when your own self-talk is trying to convince you not to. It could be to simply start that passion project of yours that you have been putting off, or it could be getting to the gym on a day when all of the fibers in your body would rather take you home and fall into the couch in front of the TV. Courage is about picking up that book and starting to read and its about taking that course or finishing your degree that you put aside 20 years ago. We exhibit more courage in our everyday lives than most people give themselves credit for. Don't discount your acts of courage or belittle them. Instead leverage them and stack them and celebrate yourself for the actions that you have taken.
Inaction breeds doubt and fear. Action breeds confidence and courage. If you want to conquer fear, do not sit home and think about it. Go out and get busy. Dale Carnegie
I have not ceased being fearful, but I have ceased to let fear control me. Erica Jong
Courage starts with showing up and letting ourselves be seen. Brené Brown
