The most important conversations that you will ever have in your day, or really in your lifetime, are the conversations hat you have with yourself.  The more that you can control the negative chatter from entering your internal dialogue the better you will be.  Unfortunately, the conversations that we have with ourselves are overwhelmingly negative (80%) and repetitive from the day before (95%-98%).  And so is it little wonder that we caught in a never-ending loop of repetitive negative thoughts about ourselves and our situation.  Instead we need to replace these repetitive, negative and outdated conversations that we have about ourselves with better ones.  We need to be compassionate with ourselves, but also focus on consuming more positive content and input in which to think about and converse with ourselves on.  As we have better conversations with ourselves internally we tend to create better external situations for ourselves as well.  For where the mind goes the body follows.

Your mind knows only some things. Your inner voice, your instinct, knows everything. If you listen to what you know instinctively, it will always lead you down the right path. Henry Winkler

Don’t let the noise of others’ opinions drown out your own inner voice.  Steve Jobs

Somewhere inside, we hear a voice. It leads us in the direction of the person we wish to become. But it is up to us whether or not to follow.  Pat Tillman
