Just because you have some expertise or the skills to do something doesn't mean you should be arrogant about it.  While ability may mean you can back up your statements of what you can do, conceitedness about one's own skills are never welcomed by others.  Arrogance inhibits collaboration, prevents support from others and leads to the hubris of the fallen.  Instead, take on the attitude of a master, humble in their opinion of their own skills with the mindset of a beginner and the ambition to continue to learn.  This attitude and approach will encourage sharing and concert with others resulting in an even better solution and the accumulation of even more learning for all those involved.
