Excellence is a process not an event.  Excellence is not something that happens after you have spent 10 000 hours developing the skills of your craft or after 25 years of experience.  Instead, excellence resides in the process that you commit to to improve performance.  Even after you have become the master, the professional or recognized for performance beyond that of anyone else, excellence resides in the commitment to the process to get even better, to learn even more and develop even better skills.  Do not focus on the accomplishment but do on the means and the process for that is the home of excellence.
