Success is not guaranteed because you have outworked everyone else in the competition, but without hard work it is guaranteed that you will likely never win.  There is no loyalty with success or with winning.  Once achieved, you must compete for it all over again.  There is no guarantee that just just because you won today you will win tomorrow.  Hard work is needed daily to position yourself to win again and to be successful.  Excellence lies in the process of preparation and not necessarily the end result, but without that mindset towards preparation success will likely never occur.  Do not be afraid of the process nor the hardwork it is the way of excellence and the source of your success whether you win or not.
