I am only as focused as my last distraction. And distraction interferes with my ability to achieve and accomplish my greatest goals. Take a moment, or better yet a day, and track every distraction that occurs to you throughout the day and the source of that distraction. Whether you call it a "break" or tell yourself that your thinking while quickly checking Instagram, log all of these interruptions that keep you from working on the things you should. Even use the tracker on your cell phone that shows you the types of applications that you spend the most time with and hoe much total time you are spending with your device in your hand doing something with your phone. I think most people would be shocked by how much they are distracted and how much time during the day they aren't doing the things they know they should be doing. Distraction prevents focus - obviously. So investing into some plans, programs and techniques to prevent distraction and maintain focus control might be the opportunity improvement you need to get back on track to accomplishing your most important tasks and greatest goals.
