Feedback can come from a variety of sources and the more sources we utilize the better we can become. We can get grades on tests and exams in school, comments on our performance from supervisors and teammates, or insight garnered from aptitude tests or other personality or psychrometric testing. The sources of feedback are almost unlimited when we start to look for insights to help us get better. But we shouldn't fear feedback nor worry about it; instead we need to seek it and source it as it is the fount of all of our improvement. To help, put others on notice that you will be asking for their input about your performance and cultivate a relationship where you know you can get objective and useful feedback to drive your improvement. Feedback is simply the source of excellence; embrace it.
