Courage is simply being afraid and doing it anyway. It's asking a question in class or a presentation regardless if you think you might look silly or stupid because you are curious and not just trying to look good. It is restarting that exercise program after being away from training for several years and knowing that you will have to start at the beginning again. Regardless of the activity, project or decision that is being faced courage is needed to make the decision to do those things that scares you. Courage is not allowing fear to influence your decisions or cause you to miss out on your greatest opportunities or best adventures. Courage comes in all sizes, shapes and forms and isn't reserved for only those storybook moments that are elevated nearly to the size of legends, but are scattered throughout our days in nearly every action we take. Feed your courage; be courageous and enjoy your greatest life possible.
Courage is knowing what not to fear. Plato
With courage you will dare to take risks, have the strength to be compassionate, and the wisdom to be humble. Courage is the foundation of integrity. Mark Twain
Courage doesn’t mean you don’t get afraid. Courage means you don’t let fear stop you. Bethany Hamilton
Courage originally meant ‘To speak one’s mind by telling all one’s heart. Brené Brown
