Hardwork is the most important but likely most underrated characteristic of personal and professional success.  Too many people look for short cuts to avoid doing the hardwork necessary for success.  Some may cheat, bend the rules or look for ways that accelerate their growth and success that are illegal, immoral or unethical.  And unfortunately many of these people don't get caught and do "succeed" which only reinforces these tactics.  However, these successes are always tainted by the deception and fraud regardless of disposition of the ethical nature of the "victory."  Hardwork, however, is first, its own reward.  Hardwork and knowing that the process to succeed is just as important (and maybe even more so) than the success itself.  And while hardwork may not always deliver the desired result, knowing what you can do and your commitment to the process and perseverance through the hardwork always delivers even if it wasn't what your were targeting.  Hardwork delivers.

I know you've heard it a thousand times before. But it's true - hard work pays off. If you want to be good, you have to practice, practice, practice. If you don't love something, then don't do it.  Ray Bradbury

Hardwork is the proce we must pay for success.  Vince Lombardi

Hard work is painful when life is devoid of purpose. But when you live for something greater than yourself and the gratification of your own ego, then hard work becomes a labor of love.  Steve Pavlina
