Courage isn't just the ability to run into a burning building to save a life, or to put yourself on the line as a police officer when patrolling the streets. Courage is also the ability to have a difficult conversation at work, or even to feed yourself properly and pass over the the junk food. Courage is the decision to move off the couch and go for a walk and courage is the decision to embark on a challenge that you presently don't know how you are going to meet. And courage, sometimes, is simply the strength to carry on when the storms around you continue to wail. Don't for a minute think courage is beyond you, as there are many examples in your life already in which you exhibited courage. Courage is the ability to push on (i.e. strength) in the face of adversity, and that is something we all do all the time.
Where your fear is, there is your task. Carl Jung
I have not ceased being fearful, but I have ceased to let fear control me. Erica Jong
It’s better to cross the line and suffer the consequences than to just stare at the line for the rest of your life. Paulo Coelho
