Ben Bergeron, the well-known athlete and CrossFit coach, highlights that there are five key factors of health or fitness. These are nutrition, exercise, sleep, mindset and relationships or connectedness. But in reality these are likely foundational aspects of excellence, regardless of your pursuit. At minimum if you do these five things really well, you will likely excel at what you do and feel good about yourself while you are doing it. The key to getting at each of these is to meet yourself where you currently are and then incorporate strategies and tactics to get better within each category. The first step is hard, but when you meet yourself where you are it is easier. Reflect on each of these and think about what improvements you may be able to incorporate into your routines to help you in your pursuit of excellence.
