Without humility growth is not possible.  We must recognize our limits, whether physical, spiritual or intellectual in order to place ourselves in a manner receptive for learning.  For it is learning that allows our capability to grow.  Humility is the gateway to growth as it prepares our mind, body and soul to the teachings that surround us at all times.  Arrogance, chaos and the ego prevent us from learning and therefore inhibits our growth and our development.  However society seemingly shuns stillness and exults the ego with its constant assault on solitude, focus, self-awareness and personal growth rejecting humility as weakness and frailty.  When, in fact, humility is the strength that all are seeking, it is the source of all growth and the wellspring of all achievement.
